We’ve all been there, right? The downward spirals, the comparisons, the envy. It’s a tough pattern to break but believe me, it can be done. We learn these negative patterns as children, which is what makes them so powerful. They are deeply rooted into our way of thinking. Continuing these negative though patterns, directly relates to what we attract into our life.
For instance, when you react to a situation out of anger, that feeling of anger gets sent to your unconscious mind as if you WANT to feel angry. If you give into the feeling of loneliness or the feeling of being a victim…your unconscious mind only understands you WANT to feel this way. This makes it impossible to change the outcome of your life. Your actions are going to directly reflect the thought patterns of your unconscious mind because from it’s understanding, “THAT is what you ACTUALLY want.” Ya feel me?
You can now take a deep breathe and sigh of relief though when I tell you, you CAN break this cycle. One of the easiest first steps you can take in the direction of change, is through daily affirmation. This will not be an easy process depending on how deeply rooted your negative patterns are. In the beginning, you might find that you feel your affirmations aren’t true….which are affirmations in themselves. What I mean by this, is when we tell ourselves – and this is an exaggerated example – “I will receive $1,000,000 tomorrow”, naturally our brains will probably come back with “this is dumb, it will never work”. The negative thought is an affirmation also….and is typically more powerful because you have been telling yourself this for years. The negative thought processes are going to be hard to break, but once you realize every thought you have ever had about yourself has been an affirmation….you will begin to realize how powerful they can truly become.
Each month, I tap into the theme of affirmations I feel like my soul needs for a month’s duration. We know the month of November as being full of Pumpkin Spice, Thanksgiving Turkey, wine, but also gratitude. This worked out perfectly as I realized it was time for me to tap back into the power of thanking the universe for what I have and seeing how blessed I am. I try to keep to the same theme for an entire month because there is much power in continuing something for a complete 30 days. This becomes a habit. I surround myself with these affirmations. One of the techniques I use, is by scheduling daily affirmations targeted toward my network, using a site called CinchShare. I have used many different scheduling software, and CinchShare has the best bang for your buck in my opinion. *I am not an affiliate or ambassador for CinchShare. I am merely an account holder sharing my experience.*
This always me to consistently push a specific affirmation into my head, making the success rate to eliminating any mindset block I may have. Affirmations will also help you create new thought patterns if you don’t feel any blockages.
