Raise your hand if Eyeliner is not your strong suit! *I’m vigorously waving over here lol*
My eyes are Deep Set so the normal everyday eyeliner tutorial can leave my eyeliner looking awful & distorted once I look straight forward.
Day 2 of my beauty school challenge I started to explore all the different eyeliner styles and came across one I had never heard of before but makes total sense for anyone with extremely hooded eyes. This is called the “Dropped Flick” eyeliner style and I’m going to explain it to you easily and perfectly thanks to my girl Nibbles over on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88frKwGfFos
Believe it or not, this was actually the ONLY tutorial I found that made this eyeliner style easy. All the other added a double wing, or an arabic wing, or an egyptian wing, etc. Everything just got really complicated, so I’m making this easy for you and did the research already.
The Top Tips I picked up for this Dropped Flick Eyeliner look are:
- Do your eyeliner the NORMAL way across your lid
- Once you reach your outer corner you are going to pull the wing straight instead of swiping up
- Use your crease to decipher where your “flick” should be brought out to
- Bringing the wing straight out, meet the point of where your crease “would” meet you had it kept moving downward.
Before I jump onto video….I did a little practice for myself. I didn’t really like how it turned out and not too sure if it’s the eyeliner style for me personally…but here goes!
As always, being a LimeLight by Alcone beauty guide, I would be doing a disservice to you and to myself if I did not showcase the eyeliner I used in this video because it works beautifully, especially if you are a beginner. You can grab it here: www.ProPhotoCosmetics.com
Let me know in the comments if you have deep set eyes like me or extremely hooded eyes. I’d love to know if this tutorial, being a “not so popular” one, worked for you. Did you like it??
