These past two years have indeed been my big dark night of the soul. I lost my studio and despite any creative efforts to keep shooting boudoir and stay connected to my passion, I’ve been met with fail after fail. Finally, as December & it’s chill wisps in, I am feeling the heaviness start to lift. With no where to shoot, the possibility of another state move, and with the heaviness lifting, I wanted to take the month of December to remind myself of all the incredible women I have met in Bossier City, Louisiana.

This woman, where do I even begin? From the moment she showed up, we clicked instantaneously. There was never a quiet or awkward moment between us and every snap of the camera was magical. I admire women who make their self love look so effortless. They just move differently…and she was that type of woman.

As with every shoot, there is always a fumble somewhere. It’s just normal lol As I was doing her makeup, we ran into some blending issues and that’s the moment I was introduced to the Mac Fix it+ and it.was.a.miracle. I usually tell all my clients that if it looks like you are running away when you walk out the door for your session…you’re doing it right haha. When in doubt, bring it all. She heeded my advice and I’m so glad she did!!

We shared stories the entire time. Some heartfelt, some private struggles, and some funny memories we had from our childhood. We learned about each other’s families and children and also our plans for the future.

I am obsessed with what I do and the bonds I make over these sessions. There is nothing else out there that amplifies the power of self love like a boudoir session and a boudoir photographer you vibe with.
